Selection Process
  • If you apply for a job and receive a favorable response this means that you may be short-listed for the position.

Our recruitment team will contact you to set up an initial interview.

You may then be required to take part in a number of interviews with the Business.

These may be phone, Skype, teleconference or face-to-face interviews.

For some roles we also require candidates to complete skills assessments.

Following the selection/assessment process the hiring manager and recruitment staff will need to discuss and identify the most suitable candidate for the role
  • If you are successful after the interview, you will be contacted by the recruitment team advising you of the outcome.

You will then need to undertake one or more of the following steps:

    •   Psychometrics testing (if applicable)

    •   Medical assessment by our Company provider

    •   Reference checks (people who have been your manager)

    •   Background check

Once these have been successfully completed the recruitment team will provide you with a formal offer. If you are unsuccessful, you will receive notification from the recruitment team advising you of the outcome.
  • Once the necessary approvals have been attained the successful candidate will be contacted by Human Resources who are responsible for the entire joining process and will make the necessary arrangements for relevant documentation.
CV Writing Tips
  • •   Highlight titles and main headings in bold.

    •   Keep the order chronological starting with your most current position. If you have little work experience, you can put your academics first. If you have been working, put your academics towards the end.

    •   Only include what is really necessary to get you the job.

    •   Font size should be no smaller than 10 point.

    •   Keep it short and brief. No more than 4 pages please.

    •   Spell-check your CV and ask someone else to read it over. Nothing looks more unprofessional than a CV with errors.
  • Make sure you include your contact details (such as mobile, email address, etc.) so the recruiters can get in touch with you.
  • Only include achieved or in processqualifications.

If they are in process, please state this clearly.
  • Write about more than the responsibilities you held in each work role.

Provide details about what you achieved, including figures and statistics if you can.

    (Hint: Situation, Action, Outcome).
  • You do not need to list names and contact details for referees on your CV. Should you progress to the Offer Stage the recruiter will ask you to provide this information.
Interview Tips
  • One of the best ways you can prepare for your interview is to analyse how you’ve performed in your current and past roles against the competencies attached to the job description.

Take some time to think about examples from your work experience that are relevant to those competencies.

You’ll find it easier to answer the interview questions and illustrate your strengths and experience if you plan your answers in advance.

    Ask yourself:

    •   What were the challenges involved in a particular experience?

    •   How did I address those challenges?

    •   What was the result of my actions and decisions?

    •   If I faced the same challenge what would I do differently?
  • An interview is an opportunity to demonstrate how you work and what you’ve achieved.

It’s also an opportunity for you to learn more about the role, the Jagal Group and our values.

Think about what aspects of the role and company you’d like to know more about and prepare some questions for your interviewers.

    Relax and answer questions honestly.

If you don’t understand a question, simply ask the interviewer to repeat it.

    Don’t rush your answers.

Take time to think and use plenty of examples from your experience in the workplace.

We will focus on how you’ve used your skills and knowledge in particular work settings.

The interview questions are designed to elicit information about competencies that are linked to the essential aspects of the role for which you’re applying.

We want to see if your abilities are a good match for the demands of the job.

In each question, the interviewers will ask you to provide specific examples about a situation or task.

You might also be asked to clarify your answers with more information about your actions or the final outcomes you achieved.
